The Summer of Male Genitalia

Saturday, July 26, 2008

Today I woke up at 11, noon, and then finally at 1 p.m. I haven't been sleeping that late recently because I've been working mostly lunch shifts, but after finishing painting the apartment yesterday, and being sore and exhausted, I feel like I needed the rest.

In the past three days I've made $350 at the restaurant, which is pretty much rent. Management has hired a few new servers, so I should be getting more regular decent shifts and helping my savings account rebound from the moving fees.

Right after I got into work, Mr. LTA called me. "Hey, are you going to Pulp tonight?" I told him that I might, depending on how late I get out of work. "Oh, I was wondering if you do come, if you could give me a ride home."

A ride home? I know that normally when he goes to Pulp he drives Justin's car back, but Justin wasn't going tonight. However, John lives in Ybor, and I'm fairly certain John would let Mr. LTA crash at his place; I'm also betting that Mr. LTA doesn't have work or plans tomorrow, and therefore would have no reason to need to be back in town tonight.

In that case, does "can I have a ride home" translate into "can I come home with you?" Maybe not, but the short-haired mohawk girl from the Pool Party has a boyfriend now, and Justin has a girlfriend, and that makes Mr. LTA the third, or fifth, wheel.

Incidentally, I did consider going to Pulp, just out of curiosity.
But I didn't go.

Instead, I caught the latest showing of Step Brothers with Loopis, Albert, and Justin. It was hilarious; I really didn't expect it to be so funny. The longest gap of silence in between my laughing was no longer than five minutes. And we were all graced with the image of Will Ferrell's testicles.

So I ended up staying out late to see a movie with Mr. LTA's and my friends after I told him that I wouldn't go to Pulp because I'd be out too late and I have to work in the morning. Oops.

Thus concludes my transcribed thought spewing and resumes the summer of male genitalia.

In film, of course. That's the closest I've been in four months.

Ugh.
