My feet held up surprisingly well for having been in four-inch heels and dancing all night.
We had a blastee!
Renee saw this kid that she went to high school with, and they talked for a while. I had Loopis Lindsey buy me a bottle of Malibu (my favorite!) since I can't drink inside, and we made a couple trips back to the car to booze it up a little, make dancing more fun and less painful.
Renee kind of got into a funk after talking to her old friend (Jason?) because he brought up her ex, so she moped a little but I finally convinced her to get up and dance. Some guys followed us around the club for a little while, trying to hit on us. A few people complimented Renee on her unique style and the three of us on our tremendously energetic (and apparently contagious) dancing.
Mr. Less-Than-Amazing was there, he popped in for a second and said hi. I guess at some point in the past week or so he was really drunk and when Lindsey told him the two of us were moving in, he spouted off that he thought I was kind of annoying and that my friend Renee was hot. Since I already decided to let him go, I didn't put much thought into it.
He essentially hovered around us most of the night, I didn't really look at him or care but I was aware of his presence; he attempted to butt in every once in a while. I thought it was because he was trying to get the hook-up with Renee, but both Lindsey and Renee informed me later that he had been staring at me the whole night, trying to dance with me and recognizing that I looked HOT (I did).
At one point when Renee and I were dancing with each other, Linds said he pointed at me and started laughing. She immediately jumps to my defense and says, "What? She's just having a good time, don't make fun of her." To which he replied, "I'm not, I just think she's adorable."
We ended up closing the club down (they pretty much kicked us out) and we left following John, who led us right past Mr. LTA (Less-Than-Amazing, remember?). He turned from talking to the bartender to look at me, like he was expecting me to get gushy and give him a big hug goodbye or something, and then got huffy when I didn't (mumbled something like, "Hmph, well fine...").
Well, fine. He knew how I felt about him, to some degree at least, and decided he wanted to be single, which ended up being a really good deal for me, too.
But boy did I have his attention last night.
How does it feel?
